DeutscheBack is a member of the independent, owner-managed Stern-Wywiol Gruppe. The heart of the enterprise is the Stern-Technology Center in Ahrensburg, near Hamburg, where 70 experts collaborate on an interdisciplinary basis in 15 applications laboratories. Through the close links with its sister companies Mühlenchemie and SternEnzym, both of them specialists in the relevant industries, DeutscheBack has a wide theoretical and practical knowledge of baking. Our R&D department searches for product synergisms, i.e. combinations of raw materials whose overall effect is greater than the sum of the single components.
